MobileAccess Secures $11 Million in Funding
June 13, 2006–MobileAccess Networks, an enterprise wireless innovator, today announced an $11 million round of financing led by Ziegler Meditech Equity Partners (ZMEP), a private equity firm investing in the medical device and healthcare IT markets. Existing investors, including HarbourVest Partners, Pitango Venture Capital and Poalim Ventures, also participated in the financing round.
With this latest investment, MobileAccess is well capitalized for aggressive growth in the rapidly accelerating enterprise wireless industry and poised to respond to evolving requirements across vertical markets. In particular, the Company has undertaken a major initiative to further penetrate the healthcare market for wireless information delivery in hospitals. By leveraging these funds to make targeted investments in marketing and new application development, MobileAccess will continue its leadership role in defining the enterprise wireless infrastructure space.
